Optometrists play an increasingly important role in today’s laser vision correction industry. In recognition of their contribution, VISX University has launched an exciting new initiative that demonstrates our support of the optometric community. The goal of this initiative is to provide specially designed educational resources that enable optometrists to become comfortable with CustomVue technology.

Initially, the focus of this new initiative will be on distance learning, and we have committed this entire section of our website for that purpose. Experts in laser vision correction and optometry have developed many of the educational tools and programs you will find here.

In addition to these online resources, you will see a growing VISX presence at national and regional optometry meetings. At VISX, we are committed to assisting the optometric community through educational grants and sponsorships of many different refractive and nonrefractive programs.

We invite you to ask questions and engage VISX staff members attending these meetings and conferences. Your comments, suggestions, and opinions are invaluable in helping us make this initiative a resounding success.
