VISX System Operator Certification Course
Course content is intensive, and that is why classes are limited to four people. Your staff will receive hands-on experience in all areas of operation of the excimer laser system. The course includes both lecture and wet lab. Topics are listed below.
- Components of the excimer laser
- Safe operation of the laser
- System start-up and shutdown
- Calibrating the laser
- Using the lensometer
- Programming treatment cards
- Changing the gas cylinders and other maintenance procedures
- Prepping the patient for LVC
- Operating the chair, microscope, eye tracker, and illumination controls
Course Duration
The course takes a full day. All participants must be present for the entire course to obtain Operator Certification.
